On Thursday, October 20th, friends and alumni of Quest Adventures came together at the Belmont Woman’s Club for an evening celebration. The theme of our fall fundraiser, Faces of Quest, highlighted and celebrated our amazing students and their stories!
Guests were welcomed into a beautiful and historic house where they enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and drinks and were able to see photos from past Quest trips. Highlighted at different tables around the house were the upcoming destinations for the 2016-2017 Quest teams: Guatemala, Dominican Republic, New Orleans and South Dakota.
After mingling with each other, engaging with Quest alumni and hearing about the variety of experiences and impacts from their service-trips, guests gathered in the main hall to witness keynote speeches from alumni board members, Mitsouka Exantus and Jennefry Polanco. Afterward, we debuted our brand new Quest service video, and heard from co-founder Claudia Bell, who connected the evening back to our mission for students: to engage, embark and empower.
Attendees were also encouraged to bid on exciting offerings at the silent auction. These included a variety of contributions from our thoughtful alumni such as a homecooked Cape Verdean meal, salsa lessons, and dinner and Spanish conversation!
